The Horseshoe Falls is on the Canadian-side of Niagara. It’s a pretty epic site that has been supplying hydroelectricity for years. The best view can be had from Luna Island, which can be accessed either by boat or via a gondola ride across the falls.

The water comes out at a more powerful level of power than a normal waterfall because it runs through a series of tunnels. It runs pretty fast through these tunnels so it doesn’t have time to cool down. This way, Niagara Falls provides hydropower, which can be used to power nearly 3 million people throughout Ontario and New York State.

The American Falls is found on the USA side of Niagara Falls and really has its charm. While the falls aren’t as massive as the Canadian side, they’re still impressive. The natural beauty of the falls makes for a great sight.

This water isn’t entirely diverted into tunnels; instead, it’s broken down and sent over to Lewiston, NY and sent through turbines to generate power for New York State through Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation.

The International Peace Plaza sits between both sides of the waterfall and helps connect people between Canada and America. The bridge has a glass bottom so visitors can look down and see the water as it falls.

In the middle of the bridge, you’ll find a 5’x3′ case that holds a bronze tablet with a poem that commemorates our two countries.

The Bridal Veil Falls is a long waterfall that has quite a bit of power to it. It’s not nearly as big as the American or Horseshoe Falls, but it’s still pretty impressive.

It’s found on the American side of Niagara Falls and stretches from Prospect Point to Table Rock at Goat Island. The Bridal Veil Falls connect with several other smaller waterfalls.
